ABOUT
My name is Alan Gonzales.
- I was born and bred in the Washington D.C. area.
- I can’t eat peanuts or seafood.
- I coach a girls soccer team.
After working odd jobs and freelance designing for a number of years, I decided to properly study Graphic Design at The Center For Digital Imaging Arts at Boston Univeristy. Since then I’ve worked with various clients, creating branding and identity packages.
I am constantly inspired. Loads of coasters, sugar packets, and greeting cards fill inspiration boxes on my shelf. I even keep one of my nephew’s sketchbooks, which he filled with his interpretations of his favorite super heroes, including a character he calls Fat Spiderman. He’s eight years old. It’s important to stay inspired. You have to be, to remain fresh and eager to create.

Who is Giles Norway?
The Fresh Prince of Bel Air was one of my favorite tv shows growing up. Geoffrey, the butler, was my favorite character. He sat in the background but always had something smart to say. If I were filthy rich I’d probably hire some help. And I’ve always imagined that it would come in the form of an English dude named Giles Norway (pronounced jilez). But he wouldn’t fetch my slippers in the morning, or deliver my messages on a card upon a silver plate. He would simply make sure that I always had good music to listen to. But It wouldn’t hurt if he could cook.
